Plain galvanised wire
Plain galvanised wire is used for tying, binding, straining and repairing fences, baling, and general farm, workshop and industrial use. We supply it in two coatings:
• Class C standard galvanised – cost-effective for most inland applications.
• Class A heavy galvanised – a thicker zinc coating for longer life in coastal and high-moisture areas.
Available sizes
• Diameters: from 1.25 mm up to 5.60 mm, including popular 1.60 mm, 2.00 mm, 2.50 mm, 3.15 mm and 4.00 mm
• Coil sizes: 500 g, 2 kg, 5 kg and 50 kg coils, plus 300–900 kg jumbo coils for industrial users
• Tensile strengths: low tensile (soft, easy to tie), medium tensile, high tensile (950 MPa minimum) and ultra-high tensile (1,350 MPa minimum)

WFSA product tiers: Mzansi / Econo and specified ranges
The WFSA Mzansi / Econo range is a commercial-value range for selected price-sensitive, general-purpose, retail, hardware-store and lower-load applications where a project-specific certified or warranted specification is not required. Select it for the intended use; it is not an automatic substitute for heavier-duty, fully specified or standards-compliant material.
Depending on the product, differences can include actual wire diameter, coating level, mass, steel content and manufacturing tolerance. Compare the individual specifications rather than height, mesh opening or purchase price alone.

This does not exclude statutory consumer rights where applicable. Read the WFSA terms and conditions and confirm any product-specific warranty before ordering. Do not use economy material as a substitute for a required structural or certified specification.
Diameter, coating, tensile strength and coil mass are separate specifications. A heavier diameter does not prove heavier galvanizing.
